CROC HINGE® 4X4 RECOVERY BRACKET – EXTENDED PRODUCT LEG
The most versatile solution for your 4×4 accessories
Fitting a CROC HINGE® 4×4 recovery bracket to your roof rack lets you easily move your accessories between two positions:
- A vertical/upright position on the side of the roof rack (deployed position), and
- A stowed position where the accessory rests flat on the roof rack.
Side Mounted
With the accessory bracket in the deployed position, a user has easier access to any accessory attached to the accessory bracket, compared to if the accessory was positioned on the roof rack in the stowed position. When in the deployed position, a user can access the accessory without needing to climb on the vehicle, or using a step, ladder or something similar to reach the accessory. Further, when the CROC HINGE® is in the deployed position, space on the roof rack that would otherwise be obstructed or taken by the accessory is freed up allowing it to be used to carry other equipment.
Roof Mounted
When the accessory bracket is in the deployed position it (and the attached accessories) extend upwards from the roof rack and adds to the overall height. This increase in height impacts on the ability of the vehicle to pass under overhangs and/or gain access to height restricted car parks. However, the CROC HINGE® 4×4 recovery bracket allows for the accessory to be stowed flat and thus impacts less on vehicle height than other accessory mounts.

- 2 x 316 grade stainless steel brackets compatible with most popular flat roof racks* (Check combination before ordering)
- 4 x M8 channel nuts
- Mounting pins sold separately as they are dependent on the accessory you wish to fit.
CROC HINGE® is guaranteed to fit the Pioneer roof rack system by Rhino Rack. It allows mounting of MAXTRAX, TREDS and a variety of other forms of recovery boards. CROC HINGE® also suits the mounting of MAXTRAX on the Yakima Brand Roof Rack. Please note that if using TREDS on the Yakima rack then you will need a Bridge Plate (sold separately). Our mounting brackets are also compatible with Rola Titan flat racks. They can also be mounted on ARB Base racks however require the addition of t-slot adaptors which are available directly from ARB.
